Players Are The Most Integral Part Of The Football Industry And Their Input Has Always Been Pivotal In Development Of Football Across The Globe, However, Locally Football Players Have Not Been Fully Accorded The Respect And Treatment They Deserve Especially From Their Employees. In Response To A Perceived Need To Defend The Rights Of Professional Footballers In The Country, The Kenya Footballers Welfare Association Was Formed In September 2011 With Members Coming From The Premier League, The National Super League And The Women League.

The Kenya Footballers’ Welfare Association (KEFWA) was formed on September 2011. The aims of the KEFWA are to protect, improve and negotiate the conditions, rights and status of all professional players by collective bargaining agreements.

Our action

"We want to educate players on how to brand themselves professionally through the social media. This will help them know how to properly take advantage of the Digital world usage. It will also be a chance to know how to create their websites among others," Dan Makori the KEFWA Education officer
